Deuxieme essai de Vancouver Dine Out hier soir, a Maurya, restaurant indien assez classe, tres bien decore. Le repas etait tres bon:

  • Entree:
    • Keema ka samosa: Curried lamb mince filled cocktail samosa served with fresh mint chutney
    • Hariyaali kebab: Mint and pomegranate seed flavoured potato & spinach cakes served with tamarind chutney
  • Plat principal:
    • Murgh korma Awadh ka: Breast of chicken slow cooked in a rich cashew-onion paste with sweet spices. A rich tradition from the ‘kitchen’ of Awadh.
    • Baalti gosht kabeela: Lamb fillet cooked in an onion-yoghurt curry with an array of hot masalas. A north Indian favourite
  • Dessert:
    • Kesar Pista kulfi: A saffron and pistachio flavoured rich Indian ice cream
    • Gulab jamun: Cottage cheese dumpling served in served hot in a rose flavoured honey syrup

On a teste des coktails, ce qui etait un peu moins probant, en particulier le mien a base de vin rouge.
